Spanking a dead snake!
Have you seen people thrashing an already dead snake or beating an already dead rat. Some even pull out the limbs of a dead mosquito and show their strength. This is how many of us deal with a person who is caught in sin. When a person is caught in a sin ( eg : Lying) many would punish him. This punishment in public by many would be more than sufficient for him. Instead of joining the gang and punishing him, we ought to forgive and comfort him so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow. Let us stop spanking a dead snake.
